Perhentian Island Day 1

My long long waited holiday after Higher Diploma started -- Perhentian Island!! Sunshine, Sand and Beach..just what I needed after three months of hell in college and three months of hell in Kuantan..

We started to plan for this holiday ever since we were doing our training..First thing to do..book our chalet..most of the chalet accepts credits cards but both of us dont have one..so how?? choose one that provides bank in service..We landed with Cocohut & Cozy Resort that provide this service..but you might have some problem banking in money and faxing the bank in slip twice..once is for deposit and another time for the full payment..but other than that..it wont be a big problem..

After the chalet is settled..go get your bus ticket..Tickets are available at Station Putra where you can reach by taking the KTM to station Putra. For Perhentian Island, you will have to stop at Kuala Besut Jetty. Only two busses stop at that station which are Mahligai ( the one we took ) and Mutiara. There will be two busses leaving to Kuala Besut daily which is morning and night bus. We took the night bus one night before as we will reach Kuala Besut around 6am the next day.

The eight hours bus ride was really tiring because I was having some sleeping problem a few days back..and Aaron in another hand..JUST recovered from sick and I was so scare that he will fall sick again..sobs..anyway..he really did recover JUST in time..Once we reach Kuala Besut, it was still early and our tummies are growling for food already..The only shop that opens at that hour is Lucky Restaurant so do we have any other choice?? haha..we ended up with eggs and toasts..enough to last us until we reach Perhentian Island..

Look at the right corner..saw those foreigners?? the whole restaurant were fulled of them..waiting waiting waiting..

Me just woke up and feeling super hungry..my flowerhorn forehead~~~

After having our really light breakfast..we went to the office and it was close..being the impatient me..i called Cocohut and it seems they only open at 9am..so we headed to the playground while waiting..and hey..we made it for sunrise..haha...

The waiting was horrible..we have to wait wait wait and wait..until we were sitting by the road side..AND..Kuala Besut is really a small small town..the streets were so empty until I thought it was a ghost town..The office opened late as usual..Once we got our reservation confirmed and we were told we have to wait until 10.30am for the company's speedboat to bring us to the island..wait AGAIN..oh well..patient is a really crucial key to survive the long waiting hours..

After a few hours of endless waiting..we finally aboard our speedboat with only us and one more couple..thats all..no one else..nice nice..it took us 30 min to reach Perhentian Island..^^ YES!!! we are finally here!!!!

Sea, Sand and Wave greets us softly..

Our room was awesome..haha..there are two queen size beds for us to roll on..We choose the Garden View Chalet and dont mind to pay more because I thought the deluxe room looks a bit haunted..and my choice was RIGHT!!! haha..anyway..right after lunch..we quickly hop into one snorkeling trip..we were dropped off in four locations..and rumours were right..perhentian island do have nice corals..it was well preserved compare to Redang Island..and we saw Sea Turtle..I thought it was quite small..but when it swims up to catch a breath..Hoa!!! it was huge..i was stunned a little..and nemo are soooo cute and friendly..haha..me like like..

We did not manage to catch a glimpse of sunset though..because it was covered by the clouds..sad..but atleast I got this..^^

Malaysia Boleh !!

The weather on our first day on Perhentian was just awesome..it was not too sunny and it did not rain...^^ But though it was not that hot..we were quickly tanned..haha..oh well..we are in an island after all..

Anyway..we slept really early that night because we were really tired after the long bus trip and snorkeling trip...Thats our first day in Perhentian Island..^^
