2 years, and growing strong

The day is here...The day is finally here...The day that I am anticipating..The day that I am longing, and it is finally here...

2 years....2 years...

Not too long, not too short either..

It was my first two years and damn, I want it more. I know, years or days is not a measurement of how far a couple had both walked and how much they had both achieved together as one..but it certainly meant something to me..and a day to celebrate our reunion.

From a person who is very meticulous when it comes to special date, to a person who keeps forgetting about special date...Had I grown much in this relationship? I believe it is something that only both of us will know. It is no longer a surprise to myself that I cannot be separated from this guy in my life anymore, and hell yeah I want to spend the rest of my life with him if god permits and if fate willing to walk down this road together with us.

Never ever in my life I want something so badly, and never ever in my life, I am so comfortable with this person. B is the best thing that ever to me, and forever will be the best gift ever given to me. He is my light that shows me the way, the sun that shines through my day, the sea that brings me calmness and the wind that blows me away. And the only person that can changed me into such a poetic person. haha....

Like b said, love was never a word before I met you.

Likewise, I only knew what love is after I met you.

Happy Anniversary Baby Aaron

I love you, more than ever.

Love,
Baby Lin

One small achievement

My first ever event dinner...

The day started with me waking up earlier so I can make up. FYI..I don't have to make up to work! Wheeeee~ After all I am working at the back of the office and hence, no make up. =p At first I thought putting on a bit of eyeliner and eye shadow is consider quite heavy and worrying that I may appear to be overly make-up-ed. But I was wrong. As compared to others, mine was consider very very minimal. Talk about heavy eyeliner, fake eye lashes and blusher. hmmmm..

I think i prefer minimal make up..=p

Even though we were all dressed up for dinner at night, due to the lacking of manpower, we still need to stand by for an event at the casino before moving over to the Convention Centre. Imagine us dressing up for dinner and standing by for a race...tsk tsk tsk..

However, after the race has ended, we immediately went over to the Convention Centre and was greeted with this amazing decor...

Even I was blowned away by this...

Well, this was the first event we performed telemarketing for and also the first event dinner that we attended during our internship...We helped out at the registration and standing by at the entrance to monitor the guest's movement. Other than that, we are pretty much relax and we were even invited to sit down and have our dinner together with all our superior. Awkward much but what to do...haha..

The interior of the hall was also pretty astonishing.

Come to think of it, the dinner is damn worth it...We have lobster, abalone, prawns, chicken and duck, bird nest...whatelse can you ask for wei seriously! Oh ya, not forgeting freeflow of wine and beer...tsk tsk tsk..Even so, there are so many guests who ffk and did not turn out for the dinner...

At the end of the dinner, all the staffs including us lined up at the exit to thank our guests for coming by and bid good bye to them. Many of the guests left with a smiling face and mostly thanked us for all our hard work. I was standing next to B and some even said it is as though it we were the bride and groom of the dinner..XD XD

At the beginning, I winded a lot and thought that doing telemarketing over and over again was such a waste of time..But after I attended the dinner and saw our guests leaving with a smiley face, I knew that even though I have not contributed much for the dinner, I am still proud that I was part of the team that had invited them for this dinner.

This..( Most of them.) is the team who performed telemarketing day and out. Worked our ass out to reach our targeted pax for the event..They are the pros in telemarketing...clap hand clap hand! =)

More events to come and more people to call...Besides this, we also have our individual assignment/project whichever way that you call it..Basically, it is like a little dissertation that we do within the period of our internship and it will be evaluated at the end of our internship..Just hope that everything will go accordingly and all our hardwork will be appreciated at the end of the day. Fingers crossed! =)

Family is coming up next week! haha. I am excited!! Well! It is time to show my parents where we work everyday ( Of course not the casino =p ), and time to show them I am doing well! =p First month ending soon, time flies ya!

Till then....XOXO

The Golden Rules of Living

1. If you open it, close it.

6. If you borrow it, return it.

7. If you value it, take care of it.

A bit of gossip

It is almost the Fourth week already! haha..I am not denying that I am counting down now..=p Time is passing really fast these few days and hey, fourth week coming soon and the event that we were busy calling in week one is happening next week. Excited excited! haha. After all, this will be our first event dinner during our internship and hey! Its partially our hardwork lo..

My mum called me while working that day and guess what! She bought me a branded handbag from USA! @@ I was super surprise lo! haha..thinking that my mum don't really spent much on shopping and suddenly out of no where, she bought me a branded bag. Call me noob la, but if you are my close friend you will know that I don't spent on bags..haha..Well, for me, as long as I can throw everything in my bag and it is useable i am happy with it. I don't really care about branding because I don't have any income now. I would rather spent it one eating than spending it all on a bag. =p Yeap, food is more important to me. Anyhow! Thank you mum! Even though I have not seen the bag..haha...XD

You know in those drama or movies showing office drama and there are this cunning personnel who always try to climb to the top using dirty tricks? I finally seen it in real life and gosh, this kind of people is scary. My style of working is do whatever that is given to me and ask whenever I have question in my mind. I would not think of serong ways to get to the top, probably because I am too straight and scary cat to do so..Well, we will just sit back and watch the drama then..haha..

Nothing much to update since my life is pretty boring up here..haha..I can not wait for our holiday after internship ends! XD just pray that everything will go accordingly! Then hello sunshine and beach! Wheeeeees..Alright..Time to get ready for work...toodles!!!

Yeap..we are crazy buggers who came down all the way from Genting because we are missing our warm and cozy home..not forgetting home cook meal. So after B finished work at 11, we drove down from Genting and headed home. ( Warning :: Never engaged in serious conversation while driving through winding roads. It will result in nausea and eventually leads to vomit. @@ )

After keeping our stuffs at home, we headed over to Nirvana for Banana Leaf for our dinner..

My banana leaf love..XD XD

Despite getting giddy because of the winding roads, once I see this, my appetite immediately came back and off i go! Attack my food! Super satisfied at the end of the meal.

Even though the bed is constantly luring me back to him, but I still woke up early to prepare this for lunch..

Home cook pasta with anything that I can salvage from the fridge. Slurrpssss

Well honestly, the thing I cannot stand the most while being up there is that I have to eat out all the time. Yes I am a healthy fanatic so I deteste eating out all the time. Talking about MSG, the oil they use, lacking of vegetables etc. I wish I have my little kitchen up there so at least I won't feel so bad. Even a stove or rice cooker will be good enough. But sadly, cooking not allowed. =( Therefore, I am trying my best to eat as much vegetables as I could, drink oats and cultured drink if it is available, and drink as much water as I can.

When I was in the kitchen this morning, I was so motivated to cook. Never in my life, I felt so happy because I can cook again. Yeap. I am such a potential housewife. haha.

Nevertheless, since I still have little time to spare, let's intro my room up there.

This is the place we are staying..the old hotel that I had mentioned earlier..

My room. Trying to make it as homely as I could. Yeap, those are my babies who protected me every night. =)

View from my room. Perhaps this will be something that i will miss in the future.

This is how I online when I am free.

This is how I look now. Yeap. My hair is growing longer and no, I am not losing weight i think. =)

Sunset on the hill is not bad also...nice..

Wearing formal to work everyday. Tie and jacket is a must for guys.

Come to think of it, no matter how much I miss home, I will appreciate every single moment that I have up there. Gain as much as I can and learn new things wherever I go. In the future, I will surely miss this moment like how I miss Kuantan now. haha. So live life to the fullest with no regrets. Sorry about me complaining about how it was at the beginning, it takes time to adapt into a new environment no? So yeap! Off I go back up now and will see you guys very soon! Aza Aza Fighting! =)

Hellos!

Sorry for the lack of update..it is hard to get hold of internet unless I drag my heavy laptop out of my room and walk over to Hainan Express to online..But anyways..since it is my off, I have time..=p

Today, it is laundry day for me. Not that I had never wash clothes in my life before, but I had never used a public laundry before. You know when you watch some US series or movie where people go to the public laundry to wash clothes using the heavy duty washing machine?  It is exactly like that. haha. It was my first time so I am pretty fascinated by how it works. First you need to put it in the washing machine of course then once you put in RM2, it will start washing. Then it will take you 45 minutes for it to be done. Later, you can either put it into a compressor or a dryer. Yeap. It is all done manually. Not like those that will automatically wash and dry for you at home. As for dryer, drying your clothes for 5 minute will cost you 20 cent. All in all, I was sitting in front of the washing machines for an hour just to get my clothes clean. haha. Well, it is pretty amusing watching my clothes turning round and round in the machine for the first time. =p

The weather today was really awesome considering it was rather cold and misty a few days back. I can clearly see the mountain view from where I stay and I must say, it is pretty refreshing. Thinking back when I was staying in Mentari, I don't even want to open my window as I was afraid that some stalker will be standing outside my window. Honestly, it wasn't too bad. After seeing rooms that other staffs stayed at, I am pretty grateful that my room is pretty good.

After staying here for two weeks, I guess I am getting used to living up here. Come to think of it during four years of my studies, my training and internship choice are quite different ya. First training - city hotel. Second Training - Semi Fine Dining Restaurant. Third Training - Beach side resort. And now - Casino up on the hill. Perhaps I should try working in desert in the future as I had cover land, hill and sea. =p

Despite lacking of contact with others, now, it is much better compared to last week and I started to open up a bit more with other people. I guess, ' no man is an island' is pretty true ya. Anyways, in no time, it will be over very soon. For the mean time, endure it and try and learn something new. =)

Soon, I don't think I will be able to online often due to my schedule. By the time I finish work, internet line will be off already. haha. So, till next time then. Hopefully I will have more pictures by then. I miss taking picture! =p

p/s Something out of the picture, there are people who loves to study, and some who deteste studying. As in where I am working now, most of them either start working after they finish their SPM, or STPM. The most common reason is because they don't like to study. Honestly, not many people like to study either even though they are degree holder. But reality is, you need at least cert to have a better future. A degree cert is like a passport to move up in your career and without it, you will have to work from scratch. No matter how much experience you have, if you don't have a cert in your hand, it will be at your disadvantage. The reality is cruel, but well, there is nothing much you can do about it. Soon, you will be needing a master or phd instead

Lost?

Claws are out, jaws are out.
Bosses went out, true colors also came out

Talking about office politics. Oh well, hell no I am going to be drown into it. I shall be the neutral one and stay aside from all the problems. I just want to finish my internship in a whole and get out from there.

I am not saying I am hating my job, just that, lack of motivation really. Currently perhaps they have too many events going on so the ONLY thing we had been doing so far is telemarketing. I had been dating with the phone for hours and hours. This had been going on for days and gosh, I feel so useless.

At times like this, I am thinking myself, am I really a operation person instead of an office person. Perhaps I am really a workaholic and cannot stand sitting down doing paperwork only. I like challenges, I like to be busy and I like meeting with people directly. Hmmmm. I really have to think thoroughly what I really want in the future.

I really felt lifeless over here and it is as though I am disconnected from the rest of the world and do nothing but work, eat and sleep. I can hardly online here, I don't know what else I can do here really. Sometimes, we are even too lazy to go out and online. Damn. Every morning when I wake up, yes, I am greeted by nice weather, nice scenery, nice greens, but once I turn my back, I have to start thinking, what the hell am I suppose to do now.

Even like now, when I do have internet line. Seriously for the past two hours, I have no idea what I had been doing. It is as though I don't know what to do online anymore. I just wander around, bumping around without a direction. I don't even know what am I typing now. haha. Damn.

Anyways, I am damn damn tired right now and I cannot think straight. Sorry for being random and whinny....I think I still need some time to get use to it. Off to drag myself back to my room now. Till then....

Oh change

My life as it is now...

Firstly, I am very grateful that I don't have to suffer from hot hot weather and sweat nonstop now. In return, I have to endure cold weather whole day long and chills down my spine after I bath every single day for the next three and half months. Brrrrrrrr~~~ Oh well, I will get use to it soon and when I do, I shall proudly wear short pants and walk around..muahahaha..

Looking at my schedule, I am devastated. It is not horrible, but, just, lonely.

If you have been here, you should know that this place is huge and walking long distance is unavoidable. If you think that is tiring, what till you see the staff's area. It is really really like a maze and dah la my sense of directions are horrible. tsk tsk tsk. The first thing that you need to understand here is, you have to walk walk walk and walk. Everyday you need walk to work, work back to your room to bath, walk to eat, walk to go online etc. Gosh. I think at the end of the internship, my calf will be super muscular..haha.

Talking about my room, it is, not bad actually. It is quite spacious and equipped with basic furniture like bed, cupboard, wardrobe, hot shower, even dining table. Not complaining about anything except for no wifi connectivity in the room. It is suppose to be on twin sharing basis but since my possible room mate is not here yet, I am all alone. @@

Okay. I may not be the bravest person, as a matter of fact, I am pretty timid. haha. I don't like to sleep alone. Partially because my mind will think of nonsense even when there is nothing at all, and If I hear any supernatural stories, my mind will go even more bizarre. So yeap, please please blessed me with strength to survive through this. ohmmmmmm~~~

As for my work, it is something that I had never done before and not so sure whether I have to confident that I can perform really well. First two days was nothing much but introduction to what we are about to face in the future so yeap, more will come soon and I hope I can endure it well. Gambate!!!!

A change, The change, change change change. Something that I have to endure and get use to it. Perhaps I need to be more independent now....

Alright..thats all for now....Gambate gambate gambate!

Its time to climb up

Okay, I have to admit this, I have butterflies in my tummy.

First time packing away for three months was during National Service.

Second time packing away for two years was during diploma days.

Third time packing away for more than a year was during higher diploma.

And now, fourth time packing away for three and a half months was for internship

Yes I know, I did not go far away from home, maybe just kilometers away. It is not that I am scare of moving, its more to the anxiety of experiencing something new, something that you are not familiar with. While packing, I was thinking, gosh, what the hell am I suppose to bring? In the end, I even packed up short pants and skirts even though the weather will be cooling. haha. Well, what am I suppose to wear when I come down and the weather is super hot eh! =p

I am thinking what am I suppose to wear there, what kind of image I may portray to the others, do I have enough bras and panties haha. etc. I don't want to missed out anything because I certainly will be super kiamsiap when I am up there. haha. I need to save money for holiday after internship!! See, my mind is going haywire as I am thinking too far away.

I have not finish packing actually and I am leaving in 8 hours? @@ haha. Damn! I have so many things to say and I have to write it out before I go crazy. In my mind now...

'What am I suppose to do up there?'

'I hope my accommodation there is good..TT'

'Seriously, do I need to stuff more clothes into my luggage?'

'Damn...I will be missing all my dramas...huhu~~~~'

'Please please please give us a good superior that will guide us through our internship.'

'I need more vegetables and fruits there!'

'Okay, I think I need to continue packing up my stuffs now...'

OMG! It is really here now and cross my fingers that I will have a good working time up the hill. God bless us and to all my friends and family, I love ya and will miss all of you!!!! <3 <3

Good luck and all the best to my fellow course mates who are starting internship as well! Gambate and we can do this!!! XD

Jalan Jalan Cari Makan @ Melaka 2

Since I am running out of time, I will keep it simple and sweet. =)

One thing that you MUST not miss in Melaka will be Durian Cendol.

Sam Suk Gong Durian Cendol

This delicious little durian devil is packed with durian fragrant, once you eat it, you will never forget it. The durian taste is so fragrant and yummy and it can definitely satisfied any durian lover's craving. The yummilicious durian and gula melaka goes so well together that it enhances each other's flavors. Slurrrrppssss. It is a MUST eat dessert if you are in Melaka.

Arrr..Don't forget to camwhore with it! haha...

Another dessert that you must not miss will be Nadeje Cafe's Crepe Cakes.

Original Crepe Cake

I still remember the first time I had ever tasted a crepe cake, was at Nadeje Cafe and at that time, it was the best thing that ever happened to me. haha. It was like love at first sight and once you have one, you will crave for another one. That time, I thought it was the best dessert that I had ever eaten in my life. ( Of course now it was taken down by Pierre Herme's macaroons. haha ). Nevertheless, the crepe cakes were still nice, but, perhaps not as delicious as how I remembered it. But still, it is still the best so far. =)

Talking about Nyonya food, ever since I was a small kid, my aunt only brings us to one particular nyonya restaurant in Melaka to enjoy Nyonya food, and it is Nyonya Makko Restaurant

And even until now, today, the dishes were still as good as ever and it never failed to satisfied our cravings for nyonya food. =)

Kangkung belacan is a must have and family fav

Debal chicken curry

This dish..hmmm..how would I describe it. It is not really spicy, fairly mild and a little bit sourish. The chicken is soft and tender ( B said it was a little bit dry though ) and goes really well with rice.

Fried Omelette

Rendang Chicken

Ponteh Chicken

Mango Kerabu which is my aunt's fav dish

Not forgetting the cendol

Yeap. You did not get me wrong, we have three chicken dishes for the three of us, plus my cousin brother who is just in primary school. Gosh! Talking about bloated tummy! haha..

Korean food in Melaka?

Dorae Korean Bbq Restaurant

Yeap...Dorae is definitely the place to go if you are craving for Korean Food.

Banchan-sssssss

My favorite part of a korean meal will definitely be the arrays of banchans they served together with the main course. Personally, I like varieties of dishes, and what is better than ten different banchans. mummm mummm.

Tofu Jigae

Oh..how I love my tofu jigae! This is definitely a lovely good little tofu jigae which is filled with smooth and sily tofu, mushrooms, clams, egg, pork etc. It is not too spicy, so creamy and tasty! Totally fell in love with this soup and we finished every single bit of it! =p

Kimchi Cold Noodle

I never tried korean cold noodles before and this is definitely something different. I never aspect there will actually be ice cubes together with the noodles and be careful though, it is really filling. The noodle's texture is somewhat like mee suah but slightly more firm and it absorbs all the sauce that was used to mix the noodle. Slurppps. Something unusual, but nice! =)

So are you feeling hungry already? =p We were literally eating, resting, sleeping ( repeat that for three days two nights ) everyday and damn, I felt awesome. haha. I don't have to worry about anything at all. I just need to get enough rest, and fill my tummy whenever I am hungry. Life is awesome when you are on holiday ya. haha.

Thanks to my B, I had a short but sweet holiday! Love ya! muakxxxx

Jalan Jalan Cari Makan @ Melaka

I have so many things to say, so many things to do, and yet, I have no idea where to start. I have not start packing my things even though I am going to be there for almost four months, I have tonnes of things to update and I don't know where to start, I have so many shows that I need to catch up and it took up most of the time, and I still need to buy a lot of things. Oh damn! Perhaps I should take one step at a time?

This time for our holiday, we did not plan to go anywhere far because it is only one week of holiday and we do not want to make ourselves so tired before internship. So yeap, we choose to drive down to Melaka instead. We had been to Melaka several times but we never did drive on ourselves before and we are certainly unfamiliar with the roads over there. So yea, it is indeed a challenge for us. But thanks to this wonderful little thing call GPS, we were never lost.

First stop, Kaki Bola XO Fried Fish Head Noodle, Cheras.

This fish head noodle is definitely worth the money because they gave us four big chunks of fish fillet and even B cannot finish it. You can have it either normal or fried, add milk or without milk, depending on your own preferences. You can get hints of XO in the broth even though it is really mild. All and all, this is not bad at all.

After filling our tummy with food, its time to drive down to Melaka!

Arriving at Hotel Arena De'Luxe

This is how it looks in picture, but to our surprise, it is much bigger than we expected it. The body of the hotel is much longer than the front. Even though it is a boutique hotel, but, I think when it comes to facilities and comfort wise, it is definitely up to a five star hotel's standard.

Welcome to our room! Mind the weird pose. haha

We were given a complimentary upgrade to a bigger room thanks to some tour. YAY! And our room is just, AWESOME! Two queen size bed with tonnes of pillows, huge LCD tv, nice bathroom, nice shower and oh-so-soft and bouncy bed. Super love!

Not forgetting the huge mirror! =p I LOVE MY ROOM!

The hotel even has an in-house gym!

After admiring our beautiful room, we ought to go out and hunt for our dinner. So 'Tuk-tuk Siham' it is, or also known so Tong Bee Stall, which is located next to Madam King at Jalan Bunga Raya.

A random shot that I took while looking for the stall.

I came across this stall from television shows and since I am in Melaka, no harm finding for this stall right? Honestly, it is not hard to locate this tall at all if you know where is Madam King. But if you are a first timer like us, it took us awhile before we are able to locate this stall. I know it is located at a small valley aka next to the longkang, and it is next to Madam King. After walking round and round, we are finally spotted this back alley. And it must be the legendary Tong Bee Stall!

If you are a person who are really particular about the dining environment and care much about personal hygiene of the food practitioner, then this is not a place that you would want to go. But if you are an adventurous person and will go all out for good food, then this is a place that you will experience something really special, the nostalgia feeling of eating at a back valley like how they did in the past.

The menu is simple. We ordered siham or cockles, lala or clams.

Taufu bakar, Fu Chok Bakar and fish cake mix

We like this the best because of the smokiness you get from the Fu Chok Bakar that goes really well with sweet sauce and chilli sauce. You have crunchiness from the Fu Chok, the softness from the taufu and the springiness from the fish cake. This is a must try!

And also Sotong Kangkung.

Honestly in 22 years of my life, I had never eaten at a back alley next to the drains ever. We were sitting on a super small chair, bending down body while using a snail fork to dig out our si ham and lala, using tooth picks to poke our food. I had never experience this before and it is certainly an eye opener for myself. But, this is not for a faint heart ya! =)

As for the next day, we have to switch to the room that we had booked earlier, in another words, we were degraded! haha. Oh well, even so, the room was still nice. It was just a little bit smaller than the previous one that we had.

Satisfied with out room! XD

Our bed....<3 <3

Just so you know, the weather was super hot that day and we were sweating nonstop..TT

We headed right down to Jonker street to have our Nyonya Laksa and Durian Cendol! Oh yay!

Jonker 88

Jonker 88 where you can have Nyonya Asam Laksa and Nyonya Laksa. This is the only place as I know of that serves these two dishes in Melaka, or in Jonker Street alone. So how can I miss it? The differences between a Nyonya laksa and normal curry laksa that we usually have is in the broth itself. It is much milder compared to curry laksa, probably because of the amount of coconut milk that they use in the broth. And they added fish meat and cucumber in it other than the normal long bean, brinjal and shredded chicken. As for Nyonya Asam Laksa, personally, we think that the one we had in Jalan Alor is still the best because this one is much milder and it does not have that Ohmphhh in it.

To Be Continue~~
