Jalan Jalan Perancis 1

Okay. I need a little break from my work so yeap, I shall blog about my France Trip! Wheeee~

KLIA - Dubai International Airport

First time flying with Emirate and honestly, it is not as good as I expected it was. Perhaps it was my first impression of the unprofessional air stewardess who does not smile and literally threw my food on my tray. The food was quite good though even though I did not eat much because it was midnight when we flew to Dubai and they have a snack meal and breakfast meal in the same flight.

The best breakfast I had in flight..Scramble egg on top of potatoes, mushrooms and sausages.

Dubai International Airport

We arrived at Dubai International Airport at the most busy time where we lined up for almost an hour before we could go through the custom. It was a total chaos. But thanks to the super long line, we don't have to wait long before boarding on to our connecting flight to Paris.

Dubai - Paris

After 7 hours of long and exhausting flight, we are finally stepping on Paris's soil! Hooray! First thing we know, it is cold wei! Especially when the wind starts blowing, you feel like gosh! I want a face mask now! Thank god I have my Michelin jacket. XD After a quick wash up at our hotel, we straight went to the Metro, heading towards - Champs Elysees around 5pm.

One thing I REALLY admire about their metro is punctuality. It only takes 2 minutes for each carriage to arrive and if you think the train will wait for you, then you are wrong. It will only stop in each station for awhile, just enough time for people to walk out and walk in. If you are dilly dallying and taking your own sweet time, either you will be stucked in the train or you will just miss it. So yeap, very efficient and our KTM is NO WHERE near their metro system. tsk tsk tsk.

First glimpse of Champs Elysees

Champs Elysees is one of the most prestigious streets in Europe where all the shopping malls, cafes, specialties shops etc located. And certainly, it live up to its name.

Anyone not familiar with this brand? I doubt so. haha

Yeap. We are not so much of a shopper (especially with branded things), so we walked pass all the shops while hunting for food to eat. But since Wayne needs to buy a purse for his mum, we have the chance to walk into this prestigious LV outlet to see what is all these madness about. I would not say I am shop struck, but I certainly admire the professionalism of all the employees working there. Even though I really don't understand why will people spent a fortune on bags and purse, but hey, it is still an interesting experience.

Next stop Arc de Triomphe.

Arc de Triomphe is one of the most famous monuments in Paris and it is built to honour those who fought and died for France during the French Revolutionary and the Napoleonic Wars.

Yes, you can reach the top of Arc de Triomphe. But first, you need to go through this.

Spiral Stairs >.<

Because of this, I found out that I am scare of spiral stairs. It was such a torturous moment to climb up all these stairs, what more coming down. Urghh. But, the view above is really worth it.

Next stop, Eiffel Tower

How can you miss Eiffel Tower when you go to Paris right? It is a die die must go place to visit in Paris and the sight is just Breath taking. Seriously, it just looks amazing whether it is from far, or when you are just underneath it.

Caught camwhoring..=p

And that, concludes our first evening in Paris. As you can see, we were rushing rushing and rushing to those three places because we wanted to utilize our time in Paris. At the end of the day, we were so exhausted because of the long hours flight and also nonstop walking and walking in Paris.

To be continue~~~~

Life

Dedicate this post to my brother.

Well, shit like this do happen at times and sometimes it is so hard to differentiate what is right and what is wrong. This is a tiny weeny part of your life and something that you must learn yourself. The more you go through, the better you are at handling things like this.

Try to think less and focus on something that can distract you from falling back into the emotional roller coaster. Do something that make yourself happy, or try something new. Maybe it helps.

I am not a good advisor and I am not good at consulting people..the most I can say, is that I will always have your back and you can always find me if things get ugly. Well, I can be pretty protective if anyone ever hurt or bullies my brother. So yeap, you can count on me!

I am sure you will do fine in finding your way back, but the fact that you are alone over the sea worries me a bit.Take care my brother and get well soon. Time will heals everything slowly, but surely. Good luck!

p/s: I love you! =)

Hello Baby G!

HELLO BABY G! WOHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

p/s so now you know why I did not spent like crazy in France! For this baby!!! =) =) Ultra happy!!!! =P

Me is BACK!

Hello everyone!!! I am back in Malaysia! Like you all don't know from all the photo bombing in facebook..haha..Anyways, I am glad that I am back in Malaysia ( Hello to all my spicy food! =p ) and at the same time, I miss France!!! (T T)

Tell me, where you can get a good wine for less than 15 euro, good and descent cheese for 1 or 2 Euro, beer for 1 or 2 euro..One whole box of sweet and HUGE strawberries for 1 euro!! Gosh! Just one day since I landed on tanah airku I am missing France already? So fast? I guess like what my friend said, we all miss buying cheap food ingredients and cheap alcohols. ( though I don't drink much! =p )

Anyways, my France trip was finally over and I am currently uploading and arranging all my pictures because I have tonnes on my own camera and a lot more from Wayne's camera waiting for me. Everyone else is doing the same too! haha. Photo bomb from all of us it is..=) =)

I had a time of my life through this trip and I can not believe it had ended already..( though when it was really cold in foix and when we were getting frustrated over our management game I really feel like going back to Malaysia...=p ) I am really glad that I did not loose anything in France ( but I left something behind..sobs ) I was very very cautious and alert at all times..someone asked me why are you with your pouch all the time..haha..I literally slept with it all the time in France..=p Knowing the blur sotong me, I rather keep it near me ALL the time so I won't loose it at all cost..

The weather was really cold when we were in France, especially at Foix where it snowed and Andorre where Blizzard hit us..So so glad that I brought my Michelin jacket along..if not, you will see me frozen in all pictures..haha...It was the same in Paris...Even though it did not snow, but when the wind hits you, then you will know how cold it was..tsk tsk tsk..

It was really a gastronomic trip and alcoholic trip for all of us as we were not stingy when it comes to food and food ingredient..Where did most of my money went? Food of course. Most of the time we went to some restaurant or bistro to makan when we were in Paris and Toulouse, we even went for Foie Gras buffet in Toulouse! haha. Will talk about that more when I blog about Toulouse soon..To Kee Shen, I did not gain any weight even though I ate so much! muahahahah! B just stared at me in disbelief of how many times I weight myself..=p It was such an enjoyment to eat in France because everything is really not that expensive and affordable for most of us.

As much as I miss France, I miss our Malaysian food a lot too..Especially SPICY food! It is so hard to find chili in France..the most spicy thing that they have, will be mustard which taste like Wasabi literally..hahaha...I just had my maggi mee, nasi lemak and roti fix! Satisfied! Time for some Chinese food fix it is! Chinese Herbal soup s'il vous plait! Char Kuey Teow tambah pedas s'il vous plait! I sounded like I had left Malaysia for a year or so! haha..Oh well, I am exaggerating as usual..=p

I am still waiting for my pictures in Kee Shen's lap top..Before that, some shots from Wayne's camera..

I just finished my drama, unloading my luggage and washed all my dirty laundry, uploaded half of my pictures..I hate to say this, but its time to get serious! TT

Kisses from france

Bonjour!!! Greeting from toulouse, france.. Hello hello there, i am blogging in france. Not bad ya, haha. Oh well, today will be the last day with internet line so i might as well fully utilize it while i am not that tired..=]

So far, this will be my fifth day in france. Three days was spent in paris while another two was in toulouse.. Two very different places, people, living style, walking pace.. Haha. Will blog about it in detail when i return to malaysia soon..=]

So far, i had a blast time. Blessed with no sickness yet though i have a runny nose now and a bad knee which was caused by the weather and excessive walking..the food was great but, personally i wish they conwume more vegetables instead of starch and meat.. I will be vegetarian for atleast a few days when i am back in malaysia.. Excessive beef, duck and ham consumption is scarng me off. Hahaha. I think i had gain some weight too, i think. Apa buat, since i flew all the way to france, surely will eat as much as i can right? Takan i come to france to eat salad!! People would kill me.

Ohhhh! I ate a lot of macaroons and choc as well. Not forgetting some wine and beer! It is so damn cheap here! I can get a bottle of good wine for less than ten euro.in malaysia, jangan harap la. Hahaha. Well, we ate a lot, but we walk a lot too. So i guess it is pretty balance? =p

So much for the jalan jalan and shoppong days in france, the serious part of the trip is coming soon. Management game aka test.=[ aikssss. Oh well, will try my best then..=] before signing off, i must say, i am missing my spicy food in malaysia. Haha. Miss you all!!!

Bon Voyage!

In less than 12 hours time, i would be boarding on Emirates flying to Paris!!! wheeeee~ Before even going to France, i had received countless warning about how notorious Paris is and it is freaking me out.

Mum called : Be careful of your money ar! Don't put everything together, hide it somewhere. Paris very dangerous..Don't waste money and finish everything!

Aunty called me as early as 8am : Hide your money in your underwear. There are many pick pockets in Paris. Keep your passport properly.

Dad : Be careful.

So tell me people, isn't Paris suppose to be the city of love where everyone is lovey dovey in front of Eiffel Tower eating macaroons? There should not be pick pockets waiting for you behind the bushes, school girl stealing money etc. But, i guess, I will only know after I step my foot in France. Will tell you guys when I get back..

So yeap, I suppose my luggage is already pack and hmmm..I will be expecting my time of the month in France..how fun right! ishhhh..I keep thinking that I had missed out something, but in the end, I don't know what am I missing. I guess this is call anxiety before travel. I really do hope I have everything in my bag and did not forget anything..Passport! Money! Bra! haha..

Oh French food!! Oh wine....pate...foie gras...baguette...croissant...cheese...MACAROONS...I AM COMING!!!!!! MUAHAHAHAH! Okay..I am finally excited because of all the food I can get there!Slurrppppssss =p Alright people! Thats all from me now..Till I come back from France! =) =)

Take good care of yourselves my friends! Will miss my Spicy food in Malaysia..haha..With lots of love from Linlin..

Occupied

Been pretty busy these few days because of the trip..running up and down to grab my passport, checking on exchange rates, constantly checking myself to Guardian, Watson and Jusco to buy the things that i need, researching on places to go, if i have the motivation, to read on my literature review etc..At the end of the day, i would just want to sit down, and rest well before the trip. So ya, sorry if I have forgotten something because my mind now is all franchais franchais franchais, and sorry if I am not available.

I just got my final jab of HPV vaccine which is for cervical cancer prevention yesterday morning which I had waited for more than an hour for it. And the doctor told me, I should have just went to the nurse for the jab instead for waiting so long. >.< great. My hands are extremely numb now and hoping that it will subside tomorrow, if not, how am I suppose to carry my luggage. So moral of the story is,take jabs at least a week before you go on a trip to avoid numbness.

99 percent I am going to be interning with Genting Resort Berhad for my internship because I had just receive my offer letter last week, and had decided to accept it. Reasoning is because I wanted to try something different instead of doing Food & Beverage all this while. If after the internship I think it is not suitable for me, I can always go for other departments instead of sticking in casino. So my choices are still there. I told my mum and she said casino good meh, everyone drinking and gambling. I said, this has nothing to do with the people working there. People have the choice to gamble or not, and if they want, the staffs will provide the service. Thats all. I just google-d women in casino, and guess what, it is no surprise that it is all related to bond girl, women with skimpy clothing etc. Being ambitious, my ultimate goal will be changing people's perception of women working in casino if I can. Well, If i choose this path in the future of course. Fret not, even if I am working in casino in the future, I will not be dealing cards for the rest of my life. That is just part of the basic training, and my goal is to move into the management side.

Without doubt, this year is a very busy year for me and my holidays are almost gone until I completed my internship in mid September. After France trip, dissertation and assignment rush which will definitely be HELL for all of us, then comes exam, and internship. Even by thinking of it now, my brains are going to burst soon. So yes, heaven before hell it is!

Je suis tres fatigue

So tired so tired~~ Who knows Dikir Barat can be so tiring..Class suppose to be in the afternoon, it suppose to be public holiday, and yet, here we are reaching college early in the morning singing 'ewau buleeee~~~ewau bule~~~~~'  It reminded me of our choir times in secondary school, but the difference is, hmmmm, better keep it to myself. Well, I had fun when everyone is on high spirit and like what I keep saying, how many times in your life you can perform in front of the French people? If we can perform well, it will definitely be something that we will miss in the future. But, sometimes just got tired of waiting thats all.

Maybe like what Pierre said, we are all addicted to the industry and somehow we have the hospitality syndrome. For me, it is punctuality. If you are late for work in hotel, you will get a kick in the ass during briefing and of course, salary deduction. So no matter what it is, whether it is for class, meeting or anything concerning work or academic, i will try my best to not be late. And, I just don't like to waste my time waiting. I guess not everyone is like that.

Voluntarism, sportiveness, enthusiasm and punctuality. I think we will definitely need more of this to make things work.

I am not a problem solver person, because sometimes, I just can not think out of the box.Especially when conflicts occurred. I am being really honest here. I can not be like other people, suddenly come out with a brilliant idea or solution to solve problems. I need to sit down, analyze and find for my inspiration. And that is why, I can not be an artist, scientist or whichever that requires you to think out the box for living.

Anyways, we are planning for our France trip now and it is getting me really excited. Wheee~ We have two days of free and easy in Paris so we are planning where to go, how to go, where to eat etc. I love to do this kind of thing! haha..Just hope that we won't get lost in Paris with the complicating metro lanes and of course, with our really basic french. =) Arrrr, its already Thursday and shall be saying Hello Paris next Tuesday. muahahaha.

Anyhow, I am still tired tired tired~~

Despite still having classes, practicing for performance, planning of France Trip, my literature review is still awaiting me to visit him. I suppose to have a good good rest before the trip so I can enjoy myself to the fullest there! Sorry if I am not on msn or calling anyone out, i have a lot of things in my hands now especially before and right after the France Trip. Dissertation and assignment rush after France Trip. Oh gosh. Wish me luck~~

The V Day

The Vday Phenomenon

If you see from facebook alone, there are people who adores Valentines Day and people who are anti Vday since a week before 14/2. You see shopping malls and restaurants putting up their marketing gimmick to boast up their sales of the month. Yes we all know they are trying to con our money, but still, everyone still falls for it. Because, Vday is a special day for the remembrance of your loved one. Whether that person is your loved one, friends or families. Whether you like it or not, Valentines Day will always be there.

On this special day, you just feel like doing something special to pamper your loved one whether it is a bouquet of flower, chocolates or sweets, luscious dinner at some fancy restaurant etc. You name it. And all these come with a very 'favorable' price tag ya. haha.

I am currently standing on the cross section of my life where my principals, thoughts were changing because we are all growing adults and things change. When I was in secondary school, I was in a all girls school so I definitely have no one to celebrate Valentines Day with. So I will always be locking myself in my room and complaining to myself that Valentines Day sucks big time or just trying to ignore the fact that that day is 14/2. Then I would imagine how nice if I have a bf and we can have candle light dinner at some super fancy restaurants. He brought me a bouquet of roses and a super cute bear as my Vday pressie. Oh yea, media influence because of tv overdose will lead to some unrealistic Valentines Day fantasy. haha

That was me in secondary school, now, I think that everyday is Valentines Day as long as you are with your loved one and you don't need one special day to remind yourself to appreciate your loved one. But, of course you need to do a little something different from your daily routine simple because, love is in the air and everyone is breathing the same air! ?? What am I saying now? haha

And so, this year, it was just a simple day with a touch of L.O.V.E. hahaha..

A little love from B..XD Too bad busted because I am faster..=p

Awesome afternoon tea at Delicious! =)

My Chamomile Tea..slurrps

B's Earl Grey Tea

The afternoon tea set is really worth it because we were so bloated after makan. In the tea set, you have two tea of your choice, cake of your choice which we had chosen the awesome traditional chocolate cake, warm scones with clotted cream, rosemary cheese cookie, finger sandwiches of tuna, smoke salmon and japanese cucumber, Duck fillo, Egg sandwich, strawberry with chocolate and chocolate truffles. And everything cost less then RM70.00. Tell me whether it is worth it or not. XD Oh, and all taste wonderful!

As for dinner, we decided to eat at home and cook ourselves.

Roast chicken with red pepper mashpotato on a bed of lettuce with honey lemon dressing.=)

The chicken was marinated overnight and was stuffed with lemon. Taste wise? AWESOME! haha..Perasan sial. =p The chicken is tender, perfectly cook and well seasoned, the red pepper mashpotato is awesome too and the salad dressing is nice. What more can you ask for? haha.

And oh, green tea crepe caking in the making! Suppose to make it today but did not realize it needs to sit for a day so ya, green tea pastry cream and crepe batter is ready to be use in the fridge. wheeee~ Hopefully it is nice nice nice! We shall see tomorrow. =)

It is a simple celebration, but I cherish every moment together with B. No matter what it is, I am grateful today that I had met such a great guy in my life and have the chance to share every special moment in life with him.

Happy Valentines Day darling b.

<I L.O.V.E u>

Do you trust me?

Woke up this morning with a shrieking sound of neighbor shouting two doors or maybe three doors away..Seriously? Do you need to shout your lungs out to show how angry you are at whoever it is in the morning? It was not only once, but at least once in a month you will hear them shouting at each other. What's with people and shouting nowadays?

It is a once in a blue moon thing when you spill everything out from A-Z and it is never boring to do so. Understanding a person takes time with a lot of digging involved. Some say may the past stay in the past, but knowing we girls ( or maybe me only ) with our itchy hands and thoughts that are constantly going everywhere, surely we will be curious. And we wonder, why guys are not curious about our past? I guess that is the biggest difference between a guy and a girl.

I used to get stung by the thought of it and will wind about it myself when I heard about it in the past, but now, I seems to be able to take it as a joke other than a wound that is planted in my heart. I don't get chilly hands and emotional roller coaster because of it anymore.

I said, it took two damn years to crush all the trust that I ever had and at the same time, planted the insecurity seed in me. Can you take that same amount of time to built that trust wall and deseed the insecurity in me?

He said, Yes, and I did.

I may still have some little bad habits from before, and slowly, I am learning to let it go. And I must agree with him, that yes, I am changing from my past.

I realize, I am pretty transparent person. or should I say, I am a very cruel person. haha. Because once over, as heartless and I sound, things that should be deleted, will be deleted. Nothing was left, unless the things that I had forgotten and was hidden at some secret corner. haha. It is not only deleted, the recycle bin will be emptied right after I press the delete button. I don't even keep things as remembrance. So ya, if you see my lappie or external, my cupboard or whatever ( oh yes, my mum just spring clean my room in Seremban..barely anything left..haha), you won't find my past at all because there is no past. I won't even hide anything, because if you ask me, I will surely answer you. And if I lie, you would have known because I suck at lying.

I asked, Why do you trust me so much?

Answered, Because you are too good of a person to lie to me?

hahaha..okay, fine that is cheating..I forgotten what B said last night and I asked him again just now. What he said initially was,

Because I trust you?

*Keep staring at B and waiting for a different answer*

You look at my face also I can not answer you other than saying I trust you. =p

But I am suppose to write it down now...

Ohhhhh..okay, because you are too good of a person to lie to me =p

Oh yay! *type type type*

I guess it is the same as asking, what do you love about me? Love can not be describe by words and different people interpret love differently. So if I say love is this and that, you may not agree with me because everyone loves differently. Same goes to trust, it is like trusting your guts and putting yourself on the gamble table. You want to know what you will get, so you bet. Either you will win big or you will loose big. That explains why people like to use break up as a bet. They want to know whether that person cares about you deep enough to ask you back. If yes, your trust to that person will boast up 100 percent, if no, nothing left but regrets and tears.

So if people ask you, do you trust that person or not. If yes, why did you answer yes? What makes you trust that person? Either you had tested it in some way, or you just simply trust your guts. But if the answer is no, it is very simple, because that person had hurt you so much and lied to you in the past. And so, you don't trust that person anymore.

I don't know whether I am making sense here or not. The weather is too hot for me to think properly so I blurted out everything that is in my brains. Sorry If you had wasted your time reading some nonsense. haha. Anyways, writing this had warm me up to start my *tut~~~* so off I go now. Have a great weekend people! =)

I just feel like writing

I finally had a France trip dream..haha..and yes indeed, we are flying over to France soon..Sorry for repeating this over and over again in my blog..I am just so excited! haha. Do you know how long it had been since I travel to somewhere far? Since Form 4 I think which is to Japan..Travelling to Singapore and Thailand is not counted okay! haha..We had a briefing that day on our trip and I was super excited ever since because it finally hit me that hey, it is time to pack your bags and fly to Europe! hahaha..Basically we will be travelling for a week and half around Paris, Toulouse and Foix which is the northern part and southern part of France.

This weekend will be shopping time for things like locks, lip balm, socks etc. haha. Yeap, I am a girl who doesn't have more than one pair of socks..how sad! tsk tsk tsk Other than that, still need to do assignment, dissertation, practicing for our performance in France etc. Who said France trip is entirely a holiday trip? I guess my Kebaya will be flying to France with me for the cultural show..hmmm..let me see..super thin kebaya top during winter..how warm will it be..brrrrr~~

Besides France trip, Valentines Day is coming too! Arrr...Love is in the Air once again! haha. Its the season of lovey dovey and also a season of hatred for some. And what's best for this year, it is a public holiday on Tuesday which is a day after Valentines. Too bad for us it will be assignment day instead. Anyways, like what my classmate said, I am looking forward into seeing how many girls will be receiving flowers and gifts at lakeside campus this year. haha. Well, the lakeside is always available if anyone who is interested to propose to their gf. haha..The scenery is free and you have the whole campus to support you..arrr..not too bad ya..=p As for our Valentines plan this year, save money and go lovey dovey in the city of l'amour, Paris. hahaha..

Oh well, as you can see, this post is purely crapping because I just feel like writing something before taking my nap later..If I can't even write in my blog, how am i suppose to write for my dissertation right? =p Oh yes, I feel like saying this, the sales of rabbit had increased tremendously because it is the year of Rabbit. But people, please be a responsible owner because rabbit has feelings like us too. Don't just buy it because it is popular this year.

and yes, I must say this, Happy Rabbit Year..=p

Stay or Leave

Stay or Leave?

Responsibilities or Opportunities. Which one will you choose? When you had made up your mind to put your hands into something, before you realize, you already left your foot print behind. As time goes by, dependency gradually increased, responsibilities and burden that was left on your shoulder became heavier and you became the soul of that place. Do you draw the path yourself, or follow the path that was lay for you?

I was shock when I heard the news because i know, it will never be the same anymore without these two very special people. We were so used to them being around and guide us, support us, and care about us and I don't even dare to think what will happen if one day, they left. And yes, they dropped a bomb and left. It was a wise choice, because they deserve a break and something fresh in life other than staying in a same place bearing the responsibilities that are becoming heavier everyday.

At one point when I was in my training, it was my only motivation to drag myself to work everyday. Sarcasm yes, put us through hell yes, but did it make me stronger? Yes. It was a hard time for me at that time and work seems to be the only thing that kept me sane. All the words of wisdoms, the encouragement, compliments *ahem =p* keep it in heart I shall. These two power couple are my role models, and people that I utmost respect ever since I started this course. The ever sarcastic but kicked ass power manager, and the tough lady wine sommelier.I hereby wish you two all the best in the future and it is time to put your feet down before starting your engine again. I miss you both! It will never be the same after you two left.

I guess that is a life of a Food and Beverage personnel where you life is revolving around the restaurant only. But is it something that you are really passionate about and will not regret stepping into this pile of never ending work loads in the future? Honestly right now, I have no say because I still want to take my time to look around for more opportunities. Through my dissertation, I had learnt that no matter how strong or independent a woman is, at one point of her life, she would want to start a family and will not put work as her top priority. Reason being? Simple because we are women and it is in our nature to have that motherly qualities. Family and work, how are you going to balance it especially in this industry?

I had chosen a very tough path ahead, no, I am not regretting it because I know this is what I like. The question is, what is my game plan now?

We will see.

CNY 2011

HELLO EVERYONE!!! GONG HEI FATT CHOY!!!

I am finally back in KL and surprisingly, I missed KL! haha..I will see how long before I start complaining about the traffic ya..=p Anyways..CNY this year is very short, only four days for me because my classes are starting tomorrow...But nevertheless, I think, I had a great one with my family..

Reunion dinner in Melaka

As you can see from the pictures above, there are tonnes of food waiting for us to dig in..Especially love the Hakka Lo Bo Yuan aka Radish balls and also the scrumptious soup which my Aunt had boiled for a long long time with fish maw and abalone..slurrrppsss..

I always love Reunion dinner because this is the time when everyone in the family comes back from far, sit down and have a great meal together..When my cousin brother said, ' Remember how we used to fight with each other during CNY when we were a kid?, all those little kiddos memories came back slowly and how I wish I remembered all those little details now..haha..Now, all of us were grown ups, either working or studying in college and Universities. How time flies ya..

Mee Suah on the first day of CNY..

My mum's family are 'Heng Hua' descendants so whenever we stopped by at my grandmother's house, we will eat mee suah. In side mee suah, there are some leeks, which are also known as 'suan' in mandarin. My grandmother always told us last time, eat more leek then you will be good in your math. haha. Math is not my cup of tea so I always gulped down one whole bowl of mee suah praying that my Math will be better. Well, I think my ah ma just want us to eat more vegetables because I don't see any improvements until now..haha..

Finally, a family photo together after many years..=)

Us with our Gong Gong

My Gong Gong always sayang-ed us a lot because me and my brothers are his first grandchildren. Gong Gong and Ah Ma used to babysit us alternate weekend when we were still babies..Until we are in school, whenever my mum is not free, he will fetch us from school and tapau food for us. He had been very strong since my Ah Ma went to heaven and we are all very proud of him..This year, I wish that Gong Gong will be in his pink of health and stay happy always. =)

Me with my lovely friends..

This CNY had been a really short one so everyone seemed to be busy with family and visitings..so we did not really visit everyone's house like last year, instead, we sat down and talked more. Nevertheless, they all look pretty as usual. =) =)

Our family portrait with Mr Goh

Even though Mr Goh said he was not free on that day, we still insist to drop by at his house to say hello. haha.

My mum specially bought this tea set for CNY..We had English Afternoon tea with Carrot Cake..=)

My open house. Well, I think my dad should name it as my brother's open house instead..haha. So many of their friends came and we hardly have enough food for my parent's guests. Apa ni! I have to walk around and clear the plates..My dad gave the ang paus to my brothers and asked them to give it to their friends because there are just too many people! @@

This year, i did not really have the chance to wear many new clothes because honestly, i only need to dress up nicely for two days..hahaha..so ya, not much that I can show actually..=p

Happy CNY!

The sun is back up and greeting everyone HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR! haha. Finally, the CNY heat is here..I must say, I kinda missing the cooling weather..haha

Sorry if you had seen it in FB, but hey, i need to post it up again!! hahaha..because me is just so happy we made it..=p Yeap..we made pineapple tart for CNY this year and never in my life i volunteer to bake cookies..Heard it from my friends that it is hard to make, and indeed, it is so time consuming..Boiling down three pineapples into a paste is seriously no easy job. But after two hours of stirring and watching over the fire, we made our first pineapple jam! wheeee!

We made three tubs of pineapple tarts! only three tubs from three pineapples..tsk tsk..so now I know why is it so expensive..

Looks nice? Yeap..At least my mum is munching away the cookies..haha..

Pineapple tarts!!! =) =)

Me with pineapple tarts!! Wheee..It looks gold in this picture! Wheee..money money lai lai!

I finally had my CNY mood after baking pineapple tarts..haha..Who doesn't like to have Pineapple tart during CNY? Can not wait for tomorrow's reunion dinner where there will be tonnes of food on the table waiting for us to tuck in..Oh! This year I did not forget my camera's memory card..haha..picture time! =)

Anyways...I would like to wish everyone a Happy and Prosperous New Year to all my friends and families..May the Rabbit Year bring lots of luck to all of you and have a smooth sail through year 2011!
